The VP of Wealth Management Sales will be responsible for driving sales activities for the internal sales team. This role will help the internal sales team support the firm’s field-based regional consultants as well as respond to questions and promote adoption of the firm’s investment advisory platform - the Wealth Management Platform. This role will report to the SVP of Wealth Management Sales.


  • Manage team of internal sales consultants to better promote the adoption of WMP
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Platform, and Research teams to determine appropriate deployment of sales and education activities
  • Develop and lead execution of sales campaigns; includes working with Marketing and other groups to develop content, target audiences, and reporting facilities
  • Drive key metrics for prospecting and activity and performance reporting to be used by internal and external sales teams, as well as senior management
    • Some reporting will be self-driven while other metrics may be derived from cross-departmental business reports
  • Utilize data to help team improve segmentation for prioritization and prospecting lists
  • Facilitate activities between regional and internal consultants to drive growth in their regions
  • Help educate the team on industry topics, manager content, scripting, and corporate knowledge
  • Lead professional development of team members
  • Drive transition from brokerage to advisory across firm’s advisors
  • Participate in crafting messaging for all sales activities
  • Act as a point of escalation for the team in handling advisor issues or opportunities, as well as accessing other departments at Advisor Group
    • This role would be a key liaison with our Platforms team in development and resolution
  • Promote all IAS field meetings (IA Strategic Partners) as well as meetings and events at the Advisor Group level
  • Support for Recruiting Home Office Visits (HOV’s)
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a Leadership or Management role in Wealth Management Sales
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services
  • Extensive knowledge of fee-based business, advisory platforms and key wealth management concepts required
  • Quick learner and ability to introduce a complex subject matter in clear articulate fashion
  • Enthusiastic sales-focused personality - bold attitude regarding business development
  • Ability to work independently with high level of organization and time management skills
  • Leadership skills to support cultural change, develop internal talent, and willingness to hold individuals accountable
  • Team-driven attitude
  • Proficient in Excel, including creation and maintenance of tracking spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills – able to present to advisors, peers, and executive management
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep experience working directly with financial advisors
  • Proven leadership abilities

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced degree or license preferred – e.g. CFP® or CIMA®
