The Advisor Facing Technology Consultant will provide practice management education and support to advisors who look to adopt and increase use of technology solutions. The role would focus on adding value to Advisors and their staff within an assigned region by bringing awareness of the Advisor Group technology suite, as well as Industry tools.

As a subject matter expert on technology offerings, the role is responsible to articulate and execute unique roadmaps to help grow their practice through better utilization of technology. The person in this role is responsible for creating and delivering repeatable high-quality presentations to educate, engage, and inform Advisors about our Technology Solutions and the effect the solutions can have on their practice.

  • Consult with Advisors and office staff to convey how and why to apply technology in their practice to meet specific needs of growth, efficiency, and cost savings
  • Conduct technology management consultations:
    • Meet with advisor offices via phone/webinar to discuss their technology management issues
    • Provide custom demonstrations of offerings to help get offices started integrating technology
    • Identify opportunities to leverage technology tools for increased efficiencies and cost savings
    • Summarize each engagement in writing as follow-up to the Advisor and to share pertinent details with the Advisor Facing Technology management and staff
    • Establish follow-up timetable with the Advisor to support adoption of solution(s)
  • Develop and deliver best practices on technology use to educate advisors on how to manage their business in an efficient manner.  Publish written and video library of best practices
  • Create and deliver technology presentations and represent the business unit at conferences, advisor meetings, home office recruiting visits and cross-organizational internal meetings.
  • Create and maintain regional study groups to focus on technology techniques to grow and support an office
  • Deliver monthly Technology Symposiums with expert speakers on various technology solutions
  • Build expertise with consulting techniques and grow your knowledge across a broad range of business disciplines and technology solutions
  • Support broker-dealer recruiting efforts with technology demonstrations
  • Interface, communicate, and support multiple departments within the organization on technology solution needs, including those departments that are geographically dispersed across the country.
  • Develop repeatable strategies to help advisors better use new digital tools to more efficiently run their practice
  • Work collaboratively across business units to provide service and to facilitate cross referrals
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

Basic Requirements:

Ideally we are seeking a seasoned, experienced, and polished leader with 5-10 years of experience in financial services, with at least 7 years of experiences in the financial services space. Individual should have experience with technology solutions that Advisors leverage within their practices.

  • Experience with advisor facing technology solutions including CRM solutions, Salesforce and Docupace
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts into practical applications that relate to an Advisor
  • Manage regional territory relationships with OSJ managers and Advisors
  • Demonstrated experience conducting in person presentations and conference calls for all ranges of audiences
  • Present a strong, professional, positive image to others which inspires confidence and commands respect
  • Excellent communication skills, including effective questioning and listening, excellent oral and written skills
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, organize several projects at once, and can quickly switch between tasks
  • Passion for delivering the best client experience both internally and externally
  • Proficiency in the use of business applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management across multiple partner teams
  • A track record of innovative thinking and problem solving to increase technology efficiency
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
