We have an opportunity for a Technology Consultant within Advisor Group’s Advisor Facing Technology team. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide coaching and consulting to Advisor Group’s affiliated financial professionals to help them grow their technology efficiencies and workflows to create a high-level client experience. Additional responsibilities include conducting live and virtual educational sessions for financial professional and support staff; facilitating virtual study groups; and providing subject-matter expertise on best practices and trends to support the teams on-going content development initiatives.

  • Provide consulting to financial professionals on a range of business issues, including technology strategy, CRM success, digital solutions, client experience solutions, and scalable workflows
    • Conduct discovery on client needs, issues, obstacles, and resistance
    • Formulate recommendations for improvement
    • Select and deliver appropriate tools and resources to help achieve goals
    • Provide authentic feedback and advice
    • Help manage through the change
  • Conduct virtual and in-person coaching and educational sessions for financial professionals and support staff
    • Facilitate virtual study group meetings
    • Meet with offices via phone/webinar to discuss their technology management items
    • Provide custom demonstrations of offerings to help get offices started integrating technology
    • Create and deliver peer panel technology symposiums with expert speakers on various business technology solutions
    • Support broker-dealer recruiting efforts with technology demonstrations
  • Create and deliver technology presentations and represent the business unit at conferences, branch meetings, home office recruiting visits and cross-organizational internal meetings.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on best practices and trends to support the teams on-going content development initiatives for multi-media publications
  • Create and maintain regional study groups to focus on technology techniques to grow and support an office
  • Create podcast content and interviews to showcase technology improvements and office impact
  • Build expertise with consulting techniques and grow your knowledge across a broad range of business disciplines and technology solutions
  • Interface, communicate, and support multiple departments within the organization on technology solution needs, including those departments that are geographically dispersed across the country. Work collaboratively across business units to provide service and to facilitate cross referrals
  • Develop repeatable strategies to help Financial Professionals better use new digital tools to more efficiently run their practice
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in financial services of business coaching/consulting
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, customers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Strong consulting and coaching skills
  • Propensity to diagnose people and system problems
  • Aptitude to analyze information and behavior and develop relevant solutions
  • Experience with advisor facing technology solutions including CRM solutions, digital tools, document management workflow
  • Ability to plan and implement organizational goals and objectives
  • Capableness to project a strong customer service focus utilizing empathy, patience, and the desire for positive closure (agreement)
  • Ability to review and revise processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of adult training methods, practices, and techniques
  • Skill in conducting effective presentations and workshops; excellent verbal and written communication
  • Skill in operating personal computer and various software packages (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Skill in research and problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to travel approximately 4-6 weeks annually

Preferred Requirements:

  • Active FINRA registrations preferred (Series 7, 24, and 63/65 (or Series 66)).
