Technical Support Specialist

Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting company employees regarding current technologies, systems, and applications.  Additional duties include troubleshooting technical issues, configuring PCs.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve a multitude of technology related issues regarding company systems and applications.  Research issues as necessary and ensure prompt response.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Internal and external employees.
  • Receive help requests via telephone and email, assess problems, resolve (Level I and II support) or escalate to IS Ops as appropriate.
  • Configure PCs for employees ensuring access only to appropriate applications and screens.
  • Creating O365 email users and groups
  • Creating System access for new employees and internal transfers access through Active Directory and internal systems
  • Provide advice to Company representatives on necessary office technology needed to work with SAI
  • Work with Company clearing firm to escalate issues with their applications to the clearing firm’s tech support.
  • Maintain and support of all Applications and assist with training on applications to internal and external clients as needed.
  • Provide technical support for conferences and training seminars
  • Perform regression testing of new applications
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + equivalent Experience will be considered

Basic Requirements:

  • 1-2 years previous technology support experience required
  • Proven skill in troubleshooting and problem resolution in a Windows desktop environment
  • Support experience with Mac OS is a plus
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Active Directory experience
  • WDS and SCCM Image deployment
  • O365 experience. Creating email accounts and groups
  • Knowledge of technology, systems, and applications
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of computer operations, hardware, and software
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve computer software and network problems
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and predictable basis
  • Skill in effective verbal and written communications
  • Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous Broker Dealer experience
