Summary:

The Senior Product Manager, eQuipt Advisor Dashboard, will work as a business lead within the Scrum Team and will be responsible for representing the Product Owner in prioritizing, refining, and delivering user stories within each sprint. You will play a meaningful role with the VP of Platform Integration and Innovation in competitive research, identifying new features and functionality for the Advisor Dashboard web application, prioritize backlog items, participate in focus groups, collect input from internal stakeholders, and collaborate on wireframes and prototypes. You will also work across the organization, including but not limited to operations, training, marketing, and sales when new features are to be released and to drive awareness and adoption of the application and new features being deployed.

Responsibilities:

  • Competitive research and analysis
  • Definition/design of:
    • User personas
    • Product features
    • Journey maps
    • Product backlog
    • User stories
    • Key metrics to track adoption and ROI
    • Go to market plan
  • Act as business lead within the scrum team and work closely with the scrum master, business analyst and development team
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marketing, graphic design, or computer science is required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years working in financial services; either in: asset management, banking, broker/dealer, RIA, or FinTech companies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct product management experience working in an Agile Scrum framework.
  • Experience with end-investor facing technology (robo platforms, data aggregation, personal financial management apps, advisor facing technology (new account opening platforms, workflow systems, user maintenance systems, client relationship management apps, trading and wealth management platforms), or back office systems for a financial firm.
  • Leadership – the scrum team will look to you for servant leadership
  • Attention to detail – User stories will depend on how clearly you articulate business rules and acceptance criteria
  • Business acumen – we need someone who understands the industry we operate in, the industry peers we compete with, and the internal functions of an independent broker/dealer and RIA
  • Effective communication – this person will need to clearly convey vision and purpose to the Scrum Team, internal representatives, and to the clients of the firm
  • Self-Management – this person will need to be comfortable working with minimal supervision and be able to provide leadership and direction to the scrum team(s)
