Senior Privacy Analyst

The Senior Privacy Analyst reduces the organization’s legal, compliance, and reputation risk by developing and overseeing the organization’s privacy program. This includes overseeing all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of, and adherence to, the organization’s policies and procedures involving client and team member privacy or federal and state laws involving privacy, data protection, and client identity.


  • Oversees the privacy program, including appropriate policies and procedures, to enable consistent, effective data privacy practices, minimizes privacy risk and ensures the confidentiality of private client and team member data.
  • Works closely with the Legal and Compliance teams along with Security and Technology teams to set strategy, develop the organization’s approach to privacy matters involving technology systems, process, and data, establishes governance for the privacy program and ensures alignment between security, business technology, and compliance functions.
  • Serves as an information privacy resource to the organization regarding the release of information and privacy-related issues.
  • Partners with business leaders and provides training and direction to team members on privacy issues.
  • Coordinates with the Compliance and Legal teams to ensure that the requirements of the privacy program are implemented through the organization’s vendor management program and ensures that the organization’s contracts have appropriate data security and privacy terms.
  • Ensures organizational compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and policy development.
  • Provides training regarding regulations and may assist with audit findings.
  • Provides semi-annual reporting of the Compliance Team’s achievements and challenges to the Information Security & Privacy Committee.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public policy, data science, finance, economics, agribusiness or related field is preferred.  High school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

Basic Requirements:

  • 6 or more years of experience in public policy, compliance regulatory, or legal experience involving data privacy, data protection, cybercrime, online business, or information technology required.
  • Strong understanding of the legal, regulatory compliance, or public policy issues arising out of data privacy, data protection, cybercrime, and/or information technology.
  • Basic understanding of current privacy laws and strong willingness to learn and develop in the face of an uncertain and rapidly evolving area of legal and compliance risk.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
  • High level of integrity and an ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and client relationship management (CRM) programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
