Location:  640 5th Ave., FL 4, New York, NY 10019 & Remote

The Senior Investment Analyst is responsible for market analysis for the asset management division which includes due diligence on mutual funds, ETFs, separate account managers and portfolio rebalancing. This individual is also responsible for representing the various asset management products both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Economic Market Analysis
    • Maintain knowledge on broad market, economic trends, and global issues
    • Analyze prevailing market conditions and their effects on the portfolios
    • Perform a correlation review of all asset classes held in the models to determine the portfolios’ standard deviation
    • Write quarterly market commentary
    • Participate as part of the Investment Policy Committee by offering options on market movements, portfolio changes and risk management
    • Be deeply knowledgeable and educate advisors on economic house view and product positioning through personal client meetings/calls, group presentations and white papers
    • Lead discussions on portfolio rebalancing based on economic modeling
  • Sales/Marketing
    •  When necessary engage in speaking events for clients and advisors about current economic theory
    • Answer advisors questions on all trading activity, market analysis, and portfolio rebalancing
    • Assist in marketing efforts of products by giving sales and training branch presentations, hosting firm conference calls and webinars
    • Assist advisors in client conference calls, Skype presentations, seminars and portfolio reviews
    • Assist Advisors in preparing customized portfolio analysis and constructing portfolios for clients
    • Represent the division at corporate conferences and in field with Advisors
    • Assist in creating new programs for Advisors
  • Research/Due Diligence
    • Coordinate efforts amongst the research staff to finalize projects assign responsibilities and help set agenda for portfolio and research discussions
    • Use Morningstar and Bloomberg software to analyze each position in each the LAMP models
    • Research fund and manager alternatives and maintain watch list on existing investments
    • Perform due diligence on each of the Separate Account Managers to verify they are maintaining their investment discipline and performing relative to their peers
    • Analyze universe of separate account managers and schedule due diligence meetings to determine if they should be added to the ICS platform
    • Research fund options on various annuity and 401k platforms and manage and execute portfolio creation and rebalances
    • Run portfolio analysis on current accounts and perspective accounts and prepare client-friendly reports.
    • Design high net worth portfolios including separate account managers and alternative investments to meet the growing demand for multi-million dollar proposals.
  •  Trading/Rebalancing
    • Monitor concentration percentages of each fund for trading and risk management
    • Monitor cash flows in LAMP accounts and execute trades accordingly

Education Requirements:

  • 4 -year college degree

Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills
  • Minimum of 4-7 years experience as a licensed financial professional
  • FINRA series 7
  • Must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Registered Investment Advisor license required for position (Series 65 or 66), can be attained once hired
