Senior Financial Analysis Consultant

As a Senior Financial Consultant, you will be responsible for providing analytic and financial modeling expertise along with strategic advice and counsel to finance and business leaders in support of crucial enterprise initiatives for Advisor Group. The Senior Financial Consultant role is part of Advisor Group’s Business Intelligence, and Analytics group within the Corporate Finance function focused on supporting enterprise initiatives broadly encompassing enterprise metric reporting, business analytics, data capture, data normalization, dashboard and scorecard reporting, and improving the firm’s business intelligence into financial results. You will have the opportunity to be the finance lead and work on a wide range of highly visible projects, partner and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders and executives, and assist more junior analysts.  


  • Develop and maintain advanced PowerBI dashboards for executive leaders and analysts   
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and enhance controls of our data pipeline and reporting data curation
  • Lead and/or participate in the development of key business and/or financial metrics providing enhanced insights into business and financial results
  • Establish and/or participate in creating data governance processes and controls as part of Finance and enterprise initiatives    
  • Lead the assessment of the financial and operational performance of various businesses or product lines through a detailed understanding of revenue and cost drivers, identifying ways to increase growth and profitability, and presenting results to senior management
  • Lead and/or participate in the development of complex analyses presenting findings and recommendations to senior management concerning business and financial impacts
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with leaders and peers across the enterprise to foster an effective cross-functional working environment and collaborative spirit
  • Support special data/ analytic projects and ad-hoc requests for business leaders, finance, and IT
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, business analytics, or hybrid Finance-IT role
  • Prior financial services industry experience preferred (wealth management, investment management, broker-dealer, insurance, banking, specialty finance)
  • Advanced SQL, PowerBI (DAX syntax experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience presenting recommendations and information to executives and senior leaders
  • Solid knowledge of data management, financial statements, financial measures, and key performance indicators
  • Expert proficiency in the use of business applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to work independently and establish detailed work plans, anticipate challenges, and proactively resolve issues or problems
  • Comfortable working within an entrepreneurial, “roll-up your sleeves” environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
