The Solution Architect role is one that encompasses leading technology transformation, defining and communicating an architecture that supports the business need and our technology goals, providing direction and oversight on a suite of applications that include in-house developed software and third-party solutions.  This role will have responsibility to lead the design and development of our Salesforce solutions. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, creating and maintaining the architecture documentation, and ensuring the quality and performance of the Salesforce applications. The Salesforce Architect will interact directly with peers in Enterprise Application Development and will report to the VP of Application Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the Salesforce architecture strategy, standards, and best practices for our organization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, analysts, and testers to understand the business needs and deliver optimal solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Salesforce development team and ensure adherence to the best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide root cause analysis and recommendations.
• Evaluate new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for adoption.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Work with systems architects and solution providers to ensure alignment on the enterprise architecture.
• Partner with Product Leaders and members of the senior executive team to deliver capabilities for Home Office, Financial Professional and their Clients.
• Work with third party SAAS providers to ensure their solutions meet business needs and do not present technical risk to the firm.
• Partner with the Architectural Board to establish policies and practices.
• Ensure solutions are designed and implemented to meet published quality targets, service levels and production system availability.
• Demonstrate pro-active problem resolution abilities, demonstrate ability to be a problem solver.
• Identify project risks and provide appropriate process and procedures to mitigate those risks.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.

Basic Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, REST API, etc.
• 3+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, including data modeling, integration, security, performance tuning, etc.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II credentials
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, ADO, Jira, Git, etc.

• Knowledge of Scaled Agile, system development life cycle and Domain and microservice based architectures.

Preferred Requirements:

• Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect credentials preferred
