Regional Sales Manager

Location:               7755 Third St. North, Oakdale, MN  55128


The Regional Sales Manager for Woodbury Financial is responsible for supporting the sales activities of the Regional Vice President of Sales, including generating production reports, training, compliance monitoring, practice development, communications and training.    Ideal candidates will have previous work experience in a sales environment, can represent the business well and serve as the face of the business, professionally represent the company in sales dealings, and is comfortable working on a variety of tasks and duties.

  • Communicate to the assigned sales territory through e-mail, newsletters, webinars, etc.
  • Assist representatives and support staff with escalated problem resolution
  • Provide RVP support, including meeting scheduling, production reports, coordinating territory meetings
  • Participate in territory recruiting, including home office visits
  • Provide training to new Representatives and Support staff throughout the firm, serving as subject matter expert for new staff and advisors
  • Support firm initiatives and rollouts, recommend technology products, and explain changes in policy
  • Monitor representatives’ production, escalating matters of concern to the RVP as necessary
  • Support the representatives and the internal departments in ensuring they meet their compliance and supervision requirements, including TRPrep, TRS, Annual Renewal Requirements, and Production Requirements
  • Provide coaching in areas of Practice Development such as succession planning, staffing, adding product lines, etc.
  • Serve as a conduit between the field and the back office; promote the benefits and policies of the firm to improve representative retention
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related area preferred; high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales environment, preferably in the financial services industry;
  • 2+ years of related experience conducting suitability review of transactions
  • Thorough knowledge of securities products (i.e. mutual funds, variable annuities, alternative investments and individual securities), compliance requirements, as well as the broker/dealer industry
  • Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • FINRA Series 7.  Series 24 required within 6 months of employment
