Project Management Intern


Location:               20 E Thomas Rd Suite 2000  Phoenix, AZ  85012

Timeline:               10 Weeks Beginning June 3, 2019

               

We are looking for enthusiastic students with a passion to learn and contribute for our 2019 summer internship program. This internship will help you acquire hands-on experience and skills and provide you with exposure to both strategy and execution aspects of the work here at Advisor Group.  You will gain broad experience within the group you support as well as the financial services industry and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

Internship Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordinator:
    • Support program managers in planning, managing, documenting and communicating timelines, tasks, issues, decisions and risks to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
    • Support project delivery through agendas, project plans, status report, and meeting meetings.
    • Assist in preparation of materials for VP of EPMO such as portfolio reporting, status reports, Sr. Leadership presentations.Assigned Projects (Research, Data, Process, etc.)
  • Daily Operational Responsibilities Aligned to Assigned Team
  • Project Plan Support & Coordination
  • Regular & Consistent Attendance in Assigned Office Location

In order to be a successful intern, you will need to possess the following skills:

  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Strong technical skills/Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven leadership ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivation
  • Analytical mindset

Targeted Majors:  Business Administration, Business Management, Management Information Systems, Finance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current students with at least 80 hours of completed course work towards Bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated academic success (minimum 3.0 GPA)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior work experience, co-op or internship
  • Interest in the financial services industry
  • Career interest in the financial sector
