Summary:

Imagine the excitement of working for a billion-dollar startup company with a strong revenue flow and a client base that goes back 60+ years.  Our employees are the “how” and the “why” of Osaic’s success.  Osaic is seeking an experienced and motivated Internal Sales Consultant.  The Internal Sales Consultant will partner with financial professionals affiliated with Osaic’s network of broker-dealers to provide value added sales and marketing strategies aimed at building and maintaining their overall sales. This position will be responsible for achieving specific sales goals in the areas of investment products, life insurance, alternative investments, and financial professional organic growth.

The position requires strong consultative sales skills and an ability to assist advisors with sales ideas, prospecting techniques, overcoming sales objections, plan design options, product positioning, and determining the best approach to closing sales opportunities, including developing strategies for point of sale (POS) meetings. Provide first-level sales support, promotion, and recommendation of our advanced sales resources, advisory services platform, and our partner firms.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target sales opportunities within Osaic’s existing network of financial professionals
  • Development and execution of structured proactive outbound sales campaigns
  • Assist advisors with strategic sales ideas and competitive product positioning
  • Deliver outbound calls to affiliated financial professionals to drive attendance at company events
  • Participate in all scheduled training and educational workshops, events, webinars, study groups, etc.
  • Provide sufficient follow up with event participants to establish a professional business relationship and ultimately deliver upon additional sales
  • Interface with Partner Firms and ensure adequate access has been provided
  • Provide advisors with guidance as to best-in-class solutions and resources from our Partner Firms
  • Expand Osaic’s presence in the industry by advocating for the resources, tools, services, and support we provide our financial professionals
  • Accept calls from financial professionals pertaining to general sales-related issues, such as:
  • Detailed product information
  • Guidance on product selection
  • Case design assistance
  • Education on technology/research tools
  • Resolve escalated issues
  • Identify opportunities for service/support enhancements
  • Minimal travel is expected (1-2 times per year)
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the securities industry, with at least two years of experience in mutual fund, annuity, alternative investments, and life insurance product sales.
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting in front of groups
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with multiple computer software programs, including proprietary and licensed program packages
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, achieve goals, set, and meet deadlines
  • An ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate new ideas and concepts to colleagues at various levels of the organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain high standards and measures while working with deadlines
  • A working knowledge of most securities and insurance product categories, including:
    • Mutual Funds
    • Variable Annuities
    • Alternative Investments
    • Life Insurance
    • Fixed and Equity Indexed Annuities
