Legal Support Opportunity in Financial Services

Corporate Paralegal


Location:          20 E. Thomas Rd.  Phoenix, AZ 85012

Summary:

Based in our Phoenix, AZ location, this position provides on-going paralegal support to the Advisor Group Legal Department and will report to the Associate General Counsel.  This Paralegal will work closely with our in-house legal staff, assisting with the internal business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieval, organization and preparation of documents and records related to regulatory matters and subpoenas with the SEC, FINRA or other similar regulatory agencies;
  • Drafting and reviewing regulatory responses, disclosure documents, contracts and other internal memos and documents;
  • Assisting with projects as needed;
  • Supporting all administrative tasks needed to manage the Legal Department, including invoice and bill processing and tracking, and general file and database management and archiving.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.  

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a paralegal at a law firm, in-house Legal Department or governmental or regulatory agency.
  • Organizational awareness with the ability to understand who are the key people and needs in the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and under competing deadlines with an attention to detail.
  • Strong inter-personal skills which support the ability to work in a team environment and to provide support to all members of our Department.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
