Role Type:                         Full Time (Hybrid/Remote)

This position is open to all candidates, both hybrid and remote. We have onsite offices in Phoenix, AZ, Atlanta, GA, La Vista, NE, Jersey City, NJ, and St. Petersburg, FL.

Summary:

The accounting team is seeking an Experienced Accountant to assist with internal and external reporting, the creation of journal entries, month-end close procedures, and reconciliations.  This role will work closely with accounting, finance, and cross-functional departments across multiple subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, strive for career growth, and have exposure to senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of accounting tasks on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure all matters are addressed with proper processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Creation of journal entries, adjustments, and accruals within General Ledger.
  • Preparation of assigned account reconciliations and control processes.
  • Support internal stakeholders and drive initiatives that generate a shorter close time.
  • Assists with external audits by preparing support and drafting responses.
  • Develops and maintains excellent relationships with colleagues across business units.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Accounting required
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • CPA designation preferred

Basic Requirements:

  • 2 busy seasons in Top 7 Public Accounting or 2 – 4 years in Large Corporate GL Accounting role (May include internship experience)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel – must be able to create PIVOTS, VLOOKUP’s, “IF” statements, and other functionalities
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Extremely organized with a solid attention to detail and analytical in nature
  • Ability to condense large sets of data into usable and easy-to-understand reports
  • Ability to implement efficient processes to support the month-end close process

Preferred Requirements:

  • General ledger experience: journal entries, account reconciliations, analyzing trends for monthly close reporting
  • Prior financial services industry experience
