Summary:
Osaic’s Employer-Sponsored Plan business (ESP Business) is growing rapidly due to our recent acquisitions. The ESP Analyst will be responsible for supporting the compliance, supervision, and operations of employer-sponsored retirement plan business. They should have strong operational knowledge of former LT or AG’s operations and systems. (Note: In the paragraphs below, the word ‘team’ refers to the Retirement Plan Supervision team and/or the Employer-Sponsored Plan Consulting team. We are working toward a name change for the team.)
Responsibilities:
- You will be one of our team experts for retirement plan operations on Osaic’s internal systems. You will handle retirement plan questions and projects for our internal client databases and the Firm’s custodians (Pershing, NFS, etc.). You will manage questions/inquiries on how to work with our internal systems and our custodians for Retirement Plans from both the financial professionals as well as internal home office employees. You will be the team’s liaison with the Operations, New Accounts, Compensation & Advisor Support departments.
- You will work with the team to monitor and guide all employer-sponsored retirement plan business, both new and existing, across the Osaic enterprise. This includes but is not limited to reviewing paperwork for new plan level business relationships, changes with existing plan level relationships, educating our financial professionals on our policies and procedures, updating our retirement plan database, and taking the lead on the operational components related to new projects.
- You will work with the team to serve as a subject matter expert on our employer-sponsored retirement plan policies, processes and procedures for our Broker Dealer/RIA Firms’ Home Office staff and our Financial Professionals in the field. You will provide one on one and small group education/training on the new policies, processes and procedures to Home Office staff and Financial Advisor branch offices in the field.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum five years of operations &/or new accounts &/or advisor support experience within the Firm.
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations (IRC and ERISA) affecting IRAs, ERISA Title I Retirement Plans and Sole Proprietary Retirement Plans.
- Knowledge of investment products (mutual funds, annuities, alternatives, equities, fixed income)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications
- Self-disciplined with demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
- Track record of possessing a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize assignments.
- Proven record of being an effective listener and communicator with managers and peers.
