Digital Platforms Business Analyst

The Digital Platforms Business Analyst will be a dedicated testing resource of new application features and downstream systems that integrate with our eQuipt applications.  This role will require various types of testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and Usability Testing.  Members of this team will be receiving training to become knowledgeable in the custodial systems NetX360 & WealthScape Advisor, as well as Client Central, Salesforce, the Wealth Management Platform (WMP), and our document management system Docupace.  Secondary responsibilities include production support needs, including operational and system support, of the various eQuipt applications.


  • Plan, organize, estimate, document and execute UAT activities.
  • Assist with determining if the application is ready to be used by the advisor, end-clients, home office personnel and other end users.
  • Responsible for planning and execution of test cases on multiple applications, using various operating systems and devices.
  • Review user stories to understand the product and functional requirements in each release in order to create test cases.
  • Support peers and stakeholders as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the various eQuipt applications.
  • Cross-train with peers in order to support program goals.
  • Documents in detail and reports all defects followed by retesting once resolved.
  • Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, test results and test status.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and validations of transactional activities in the eQuipt application.
  • Interact with internal departments and third-party vendors with a proactive approach.
  • Understand end-to-end application process flow of eQuipt and the integrated systems within the Advisor Group technology ecosystem.
  • Will retain familiarity with brokerage operations processes including account opening and funding, as well as using internal systems including WMP, Client Central, and Salesforce.
  • Will occasionally troubleshoot incidents and resolve application errors within established SLAs.
  • Identify recurring errors and replicate errors in the staging environment and work with members of the product management and information technology teams to implement application updates.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

Basic Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred, with experience in UAT testing, Operations, and/or Customer Service a plus. 
  • Awareness of account registration types.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends to support production validation.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills required to work closely with QA, Technology, Business Analysts and other testers.
  • Strong customer focus, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-pace environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, software and tasks at any given time with minimal supervision.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous knowledge of new account opening and maintenance functions for clearing firms preferred.
  • Agile testing methodology background a plus.
