Customer Experience Organization Trainer

The Customer Experience Organization (CXO) Trainer builds and enhances the skills and competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employee’s workplace performance. They are responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials, and managing all phases of the training process.


  • Develop, design, deliver, and maintain internal training programs and materials for new and existing home office employees.
  • Deliver/facilitate sessions on technology systems, operational processes and procedures, essential skill programs, operational best practices, and corporate initiatives.
  • Deliver multi-mode training: one-on-one, classroom, teleconferencing, and web based.
  • Coordinate with CXO management team to develop, implement, and maintain measurement tools of training effectiveness and knowledge transfer.
  • Create and facilitate training courses that expand the knowledge and skillsets of employees, so they are better able to perform their jobs and/or achieve their career goals.
  • Create knowledge checks and assessment questions to evaluate understanding and application of concepts to evaluate skills knowledge, and the ability of participants to put concepts into practice.
  • Stay current and proficient on new policy and procedures of Advisor Group.
  • Create content related to existing and future training topics.
  • Prepare hard copy training materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations.
  • Build relationships with the CXO leaders and functional groups to understand training needs.
  • Provide Train-the-Trainer Trainings as required by business needs.
  • Recommend and develop processes and practices within the learning and development function.
  • Identify and engage in self-development opportunities each year.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional technology, instructional design or related field is required. 

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience working in training design/delivery within a corporate Training and Development (T&D) environment for at least 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of learning and development methodologies, formal design and development approaches, adult learning best practices, and industry training technologies used to deploy, maintain, and monitor learning.
  • In-depth knowledge of training techniques and practices to drive enhanced skills to improve performance.
  • Proven T&D experience in designing and delivering of multiple types of synchronous and asynchronous training and development solutions, including instructor-led training, eLearning, video broadcasts, webinars, blended learning, and modularized designs.
  • Advanced ability using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Forms).
  • Experience using a Learning Management System.
  • Proficient in instructional design & learning methodologies such as ADDIE, Rapid Development and Agile.
  • Exceptional presentation, consensus building, and people skills.
  • The ability to interact comfortably and persuasively with senior executives including presentation, influence, and facilitation skills.
  • Negotiation, leadership and persuasion skills.
  • Strong analytic skills, and the ability to translate complicated data and or concepts into useable information that can be relayed in a clear fashion.
  • Strong reasoning abilities, resourceful, organized, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment where change is constant, and timelines are often short.
  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Organization Development Leadership or Instructional Design a plus.
  • Preference given to Articulate Storyline 360 and Camtasia development experience.
  • Experience performing analysis on client-facing operational functions.
  • Preferred certifications a plus: ATD Master Trainer, CPLP.
  • Financial industry experience a plus (SIE, Series 7).
