Summary:

The Commission Processor compiles, processes, and maintains records of business transactions and office activities within the commissions department at a superior level. Our ideal candidate will become part of a team responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient processing of routine and complex transactions, supporting the activities associated within Brokerage Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, input, maintain and track commission batches from sponsor companies, and representatives alike, by coding with rep information, product information on the commission statement
  • Receive and process checks from representatives, as it relates to Debit Balances.
  • Prepares and make check deposits updating check inquiry file (Control File).
  • Setup and maintain direct deposit information for representatives.
  • Communicate with sponsors on discrepancies of statements and payments received
  • Formats excel spreadsheets for download into commission system for processing to reps.
  • Operates computer to input and retrieve data.
  • Process and edit and NSCC and PGS into the Commission Legacy System to create commission batches.
  • Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.
  • Perform Quality Assurance to ensure accuracy of information that is entered into the commissions systems as batches are processed. Work with Staff performing inferior to others, to assist them in getting reaching the same level as the rest of the staff.
  • Review prepared processed batches each week for imaging into the Docupace System.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

Basic Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of related Broker Dealer back office experience
  • Must be proficient in the following: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
  • Must acquire and retain knowledge of securities industry rules and best practices regarding brokerage account operations and have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be team-oriented and client-focused.
