Advisor Support Specialist

Location:          2300 Windy Ridge Pkwy, Suite 750, Atlanta GA 30339


Start Date:        February 10, 2020 (Training Schedule for 6-8 weeks is 8:00-4:30pm ET)

Shift:                 Hiring for 9:30am-6:00pm ET


As a member of our Advisor -Facing Organization, you will engage directly with our advisors, helping grow and support their firms. As part of the Operations Organization, you will work closely with other team members in all aspects of operational and transition activities through both phone and processing.  Collaboration and an entrepreneurial approach will drive success as you learn and navigate all aspects of Financial Advisor support. Your contributions will ensure that our Advisors get best-in-class support in every interaction with Advisor Group.

Our Advisor Support Specialists are hired into a cohort that goes through robust onsite training prior to moving onto the “floor” taking calls and processing transactions for our Advisors.  Support is related to a variety of service-related issues with exceptional Advisor experience as the goal.  These are not tele-sales roles, rather they are truly Advisor support and education experts.  Our teams work Monday through Friday schedules, and these positions are eligible for overtime.

  • Provide best-in-class education, service and support for our Financial Advisors by answering questions and researching issues
  • Learn and support various financial products
  • Support internal teams on financial transaction ,account maintenance, new accounts, transfers and other activities
  • Use of various software / financial platforms
  • Perform required duties within internal applications as appropriate, with high attention to detail and quality.
  • Create a strong working relationship with Advisors and internal teams
  • Educate Advisors where to find online information
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field is preferred

Basic Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in financial services operations or broker-dealer setting
  • Proficiency at Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • STRONG customer focus orientation
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work independently and maintain high levels of quality
  • Regular and consistent attendance at the office location

Preferred Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ related brokerage experience
  • Customer service center or call center environment experience
  • CRM experience / Sales Force experience
  • Completion of FINRA SIE exam
  • Series 7 license
